why?

on tuesday it was still sunny and hot, suddenly, in one night... the weather became damn cooling... and now, it is crazily cold... at least it felt damn cold to me... or rather i should say there is no transition period.....

here's the party that i was pretty reluctant to go...
but i have no choice and errr this is the group photo that we took... notice the wayang clothes... hmmm some cultural performance which i really dont know how to appreciate...

seriously i dont remember talking to any china students... but within the Singaporeans, it was pretty interesting (:
this is the canteen we went before attending this party... its pretty big, where the first level sells only mixed rice, fried rice etc etc... the second floor are the noodle stalls and the third, a restaurant which i dont think i will ever go there again to eat too...

i have never ate in this canteen before.. maybe i would, maybe... but not anytime soon...

it's a wonder how much money we have to puke for our school term here... student card, deposit for library card, books, notes , utilities, phone bills, etc etc.. amounts to so far rmb 800, which 170rmb is an unknown sum... i think it really is upsetting many, including me... well... what upsets me most is when the students feedback to the teacher in Singapore, she mentioned that it was stated and this is expected... i really wonder... well dont they ever wonder if there are students whose family really cannot afford their child to travel, yet do not want to deny them a chance... sigh.... i really wonder!

anyway its a long story and my class n i can only wait to see how well will he give us an explanation on the collection of fees... i really think some people really thinks Singaporeans are rich... go rob the bank seriously, dont burn our pockets...

anyway this week is a golden week for China... its their national day on the 1st Oct (hope i didnt get it wrong) which is our Children's Day... hahaha i am enjoying a one week public holiday which i really think it is something that i yet come across in Singapore... i guess they should jolly well expect students to travel during this period of time....

another discrepancy is the collection of our passports... they refuse to give us our passports unless the teachers here in Singapore have given the go ahead to.. i understand they may not want to hold responsibility should there be any mishaps, however that in-charge really treat us like fools... i wonder how well will we be taken care of should anything happen to us...

the in- charge here gets on our nerves... i really feel like (if i can) using my slipper to smack his face... cant find the right word to describe him... and irresponsible is just the mildest word i can label him!

i dont know, somehow coming here to me really is a mistake... choosing a course you dislike really makes a difference... things will just snowball to worsen my study stint...

we are separated into two classes during tutorials... one group of students shops in bookshop, yet the other group of students shops too, but at retail shopping... haix.. indifference happens... but i hope this difference will only be for the better...

yest was an impromptu gathering with my mates in Jun Jie's room.... definitely more to come...

i love today... its a holiday, i m up early and i am definitely smiling (:

hi all,

i wonder how i survived staying in Wuhan for 12days... my daily muse is just sleeping, watching online serials, going class and chatting w my roomies....

i love the deco.... food is alright.. hahaha at least it tasted like i am in Singapore (: yum~! its a wonder how can such nice place be amongst the errr.... weird building management in Wuhan..

hahaha... my room is infested with my classmates.. hahaha... we shall open a gambling den hahaha in my room!!! mahjong and cards shall be our entertainment..

done with my mj~

was cam-whoring with dx just now.....
if you think that that's a nice chair, that's dx creation... nice right her bed sheet.... (:

did a good deed on monday... found a phone together with dx on cab while grocery shopping..

some accessory on the phone (:

and the mummy is damn sweet... i guess she didn't expect her daughter phone to be returned, so she met us on wednesday to pass me n dx a pair of pretty chopsticks....

tadaa~!

anyway did i mention about their cabs... they have a gate-like looking bars at the back seats... hmmm guess it must be pretty dangerous job to be a cabbie in china... oh and some cabs have those cctv... the cabs really are damn bad.. they either have no air con (wound down windows) or their aircon simply is not cold at all...
cool!~

is missing....

sigh my teachers will leave sg on monday noon.. i will miss them a lot.. really.. this is my 奶爸…… hahaha dingxuan's干爹…… we will miss u k... 南老师。

today i was angry... angry with some insensitive person who threw away the leftover watermelon nan nan cut... throw away is ok, but not in front of him... ya... it could have been handled more properly.. seriously, like putting it on the table etc...

i dont know why i just felt a tinge of sadness, esp when he came into my room.... maybe i miss home too much, i hope i could leave with him and really i cant wait this 4 grueling long months to just pass by quickly! sigh....

had a fever yest, and till today i still feel feverish... i hope i will recover.. cos when one is abroad, i think being sick= homesick

i will promise myself to study hard if not my 4 months of suffering here will be gone to waste... seriously... 加油!

does this guy looks like he's having fun.. hahaha veri funny la, wait till u hear his drunken stupor comments... hmmmm....

this is nice... i like~! although it isnt very clear but somehow everyone is happy...

today i was doing lunch with dx... hahaha... had a good chatting session with her.. i really enjoy being with her and i like lunch at the shopping complex (: den we cannot flag a cab to go some shopping area, so got this uncle came up to us and told us the cabs are so called changing shift.. although we couldnt really understand him but in the end he even taught us how to bus there (:

2Y only per person... heehee our first time and our greatest accomplishment, heehee... we literally cabbed everyday, but i guess we should walk more often....

this is the bus stop we waited for the bus... didnt take photos in the bus though, but really, we really took bus.....

and we bus-ed all the way to here....

therapeutic........lao shu jie.... hmmm literal translated to mouse street... hahahaha...

people till next time okie... muacks.....

random... very random

here are some random pics i took here.... its some linked streets that sells many weird things u can buy... pots/ pans/ sunglasses/ clothes/ jeans/ clocks.. wholesale but its reali smelly, hot and dirty and weirdly messy....

is this uncle cute? he posed for me... this is the " tuk tuk " i was talking about... someone said Wuhan's famous for this.. hahahaha..... i think he is damn cute....

張智霖 - 突然覺得好想你

resigned to fate

hi all...

i m so so super dead tired these days... i just changed into another level... its a 4 person room... we had such a hard time cleaning, i swear... anyway show u pics of my room.... bunk bed kinda with a desk below my bed... sigh i miss my bed... my smellysmelly... my blanky... ): sobs.. not exactly the best place to slp BUT what to do...... sigh!

i appreciate air con seriously... although i have very bad sinus and a very sensitive nose but nothing beats air con... i'm now reminising primary old school days....

i'm once again affected by bright daylight slapping on the blackboard and sometimes you can't make out what is written on the far left/ right of the board and I personally can't really make out what's on the projector.. I need glasses, seriously...

yes i do TAKE NOTES... practically if i dont, i will definitely fall asleep.... oh ya by the way i asked yaxin to pinch me on wed, in class, cos i couldnt keep myself awake.. class was 8am and i was a freaking zombie and she really twisted my piece of meat...

DISCLAIMER: she really pinch you so dont ask her to!

Monday was a holiday.. me and dingxuan went to some street.. its like a bugis backlane alike place where i bought jackets, bags, shoes, accessories... but i super duper love my jackets.. share my lovelove with you all.. hahaha NICE?! its only err less den 250 yuan i think... yup and i'm such a sucker for jackets... heehee....

its really nice going shopping with dingxuan.. lovelove darling!

there after we had lunch in KFC, trust me its not our usual KFC... err wonder how Colonel Sandlers' secret recipe got weirder in China.. hmmm crispy chicken is powdered chilli on top of the original chicken.. oh wells... OH! then we took something like bangkok "tuk tuk" haha but its a 2 person seater motorbike... it has a name for it but i forgot... then the uncle was very nice.. he brought us to some backlane to witness their daily lives... me n dx saw loads uncles playing MJ, textile distributors, market, small convenience stall etc etc... sigh we alighted the "tuk tuk" too fast that i forgot to take photo... nevermind, next time.... sure got chance to show...

oh yar... i asked if people in Wuhan sell dog meat... and guess what... its seasonal!!!! i pray winter will never come... winter is the season for dog meats... i can't imagine if i see cages of puppies outside.. haha i sure set them free! wonder why people eat dog meat... SIGH!!

we settled to a shop where we decided to dye our hair... from the pics it cant really show though.... but we did dye and highlight our hair... hmmm their highlights are weird... they only pick out certain strands... and we wonder why... and i insisted on trimming my hair but they say next time.. UGH whats wrong with them... hahaha anyway both of us had such great fun on monday...

you see, that's because shopping can be therapeutic.. hahaha

seriously i cant get used to the food here.... i will refuse to eat if its really sucks.... found a place where i think food is still not bad.. but seriously i think people here eat really oily food... sigh i dont want eat fast food all day... i already ate McDonald's KFC and Pizza Hut on 3 different occasion since last 12/09... and the rest of the time we either skip dinner or eat their "appetising" food...

this was what we had.... hmmm the one that is covered by green chilli is their fried sunny side up... COOL RITE... taste ok la... but i think the chilli is damn extra... the rest is still edible... one edible place we found yesterday during lunch.... hmm and this lunch costs 46Y for these 3 dishes, 3 of us eating....

hmmm we realised the people here love tomato.... tomato soup with egg (the soup above), tomato egg dumplings, tomato this with that... really.... and i feel like shouting to them not everything goes well with tomato... speechless...

us trying to be candid...

well.. today me n dx broke record.. we ate one spoonful of fried rice and asked for the bill... yes IT TASTE LIKE *@^#%! really.... the rice is so sticky and the beans are hard... the one in red plate is some special fried rice and the one in white is yangchou fried rice... if you wonder how wrong can fried rice get... let me tell you I also wonder why.... anyway its $1 per plate... any takers?

anyway we are now on the fifth floor.... i wonder whats the view like... but on 8th floor it looks like this... sometimes you really have to go overseas to feel proud about SINGAPORE... its really crazy how our school have apartments for their citizens, literally in the school compound we have a vet, 4D shops, grocery stalls that sells veg etc etc... many weird sights along the streets, seriously its totally a shocker when I saw these places.... VET?! thats madness... oh wells...

this is the view outside 8th flr..

think this is another hostel( in the process of building it still)

another hostel... you see on the far right the black colour painted hostels? actually its damn old run down paint which makes it look BLACK... disgusting... reminds me of my aircon dust in my hostel room... dx n yaxin thinks i m paranoid.. HAHAHA yes i'm a clean freak... i hate dust...

oh wells... till next time... i am waiting for the time to come back SINGAPORE... seriously, nothing here appeals me, maybe except for shopping!

tata... muackss

wuhan.... sobs

when i reached china airport, guangzhou... i really damn sad... cant believe i am going to leave here for 4 months.. yes its short but very long to me.. long enough to make me emo and sobby... sucks...

disclaimer: if u are going to china.. don't carry liquid thingy.. especially if u treasure it a lot... really.. my fave lighter was confiscated and held in that bloody airport for 1 month.. how in the hell will i get there by a month's time?! !$@#%#@

and DON'T put your laptop into your luggage.. i had to bloody take out my laptop from the luggage.. tmd.. as if i am going to like do damage that airport with a laptop battery.. UGH.. i hate 911.. imagine i had to unpack my bloody full luggage? sucks! and worst part.. did i say i carried an overweight luggage? b4 i left i was fined $130 for a luggage exceeding 5kg.. what a good start indeed...

when i reached guangzhou.. i tell u it sucks... we had McDonald's.. and i don't think the taste is like Singapore's.. edible but yucky.. and hahahaha the menu is in mandarin and i really cant get use to it.. some sights in the airport also make me wanna laugh at the people there... shan't sound too um... mockery... but yes...

we had to wait for like 5LONG TIRING hours before i finally fly to Wuhan... the fateful place i land myself in... UGH and i was welcomed by plates n plates of bloody dumplings! trust me it is humongous and we didn't know when it would stop coming.... at the end of the day, 4-5 plates of dumplings to maybe 6 people.. and 1 plate had like 20 of it... YUCKS! thick skinned, smelly smell of chives, pork meat, tomato and egg chives... i tell u it really taste bad.. at least to me it tasted awful...

doesnt boiled dumplings reminds you of um.... tissue soaked in a bowl of clear soup, where it slowly expands and becomes ERM.... @#$*! eUUuuu... too tired to take photos not you will clearly link it to that.. hahaha oops to those who loves dumplings..

anyway 2day in school was equally bad... toured around the campus which is damn big! walking to my classroom probably takes 20mins.. YES and shelter-less... how I wished i knew how to drive or something...

den during lunch, we were introduced to a canteen with full of students... 3 levels... partitioned into rice, noodles and a restaurant.. went to the restaurant bcos it is with the least amount of ppl BUT the food sucks... really.. the pic below was taken when we were almost done with lunch.. looks appetising but really no where near to home... take a close look @ 7-up.. it's called some "qi xi" and in the retro can tab.. haha..

we went to some shopping centre after that to get things for our hostel.. the price is damn exuberant seriously... came back buying stuffs to know there are other shopping centres around that sells cheaper stuffs... ):

oh yar school is like town... near a lot of shopping centres... fun you may think but i rather it near lanes like bugis village.. or resembling BKK... haahaha... my day ended when I was too tired with cleaning the room and dinner sucks even we had it in the school's hotel... really damn bad.. and I lost my singapore sim card while changing to china sim card... i happily just left it at the dinner table.. oh wells ): i am once again detached from my beloved HOME!

day 3 was spent in a museum.. the place is freaking BIG and people do actually queue to go in to take a look.. hmmm makes me wonder why Singapore's museum is not like that... haha... seriously me n my roomies only conquered level 1 and went elsewhere... the guided tour was shared, practically for those people who barged their asses to listen to the guide and not for US... cheapos... some pics nt veri well taken thou

lunch was damn touching! really.... u wont know how much i missed Singapore food... I hadnt been eating well ): until we went to this restaurant for lunch.. and the mushroom dish came out.. can't tell you how nice BUT it certainly tasted like home... damn 感动can.... and we went back to hostel to once again pack our room and we were all satisfied with our new sheets and clean room! heehee i slept in the evening... woke up to eat and blog after awhile and went back to fall asleep, again. That was how I spent my mid- autumn festival.. sigh... sad case...

i got a new hair colour and bought many jackets but i am lazy to blog.. i have my first class tomorrow at 10am... hope it will be a good and not so hot day tml!

miss u more than u can ever imagine
